DEADLY INHERITANCE

Overtaken by greed, a woman loses everything and life goes from better to worse.

A woman's greed for luxury and wealth leads her to marry a wealthy man whose intentions are far from romantic. She plans his murder with hopes of inheriting his wealth but is shocked when she learns that her husband has taken measures to protect his assets, leaving her with nothing. She later realizes that her greed has led to her downfall.

As a female filmmaker from Limpopo under Bolobathaba Media Group, I am passionate about telling stories that explore the complexities of human relationships and morality. Deadly Inheritance allows me to dive into the dark corners of love, power, and betrayal and showcase how greed can destroy even the most beautiful facades.

Project Overview

Once Upon a Concept: The Graduate Internship Edition is a comprehensive 4-month training and skills development program designed to equip film and television production graduates with essential workplace experience to take up roles in the film production the film production scarce and critical skills; scriptwriters, producers, directors, camera operators, sound operators, production designers, editors, and sound designers.

This edition will further provide marketing and distribution training to a total of 16 filmmakers whose films were produced as part of training and skills development programmes that were jointly supported by the NFVF, PESP and MICT SETA A total of 109 jobs were jointly created from the projects in the process, and 16 documentary films completed. Now that the films have been made, the films must reach the audiences they/ve been made for.
The roject is set to reacxh beneficiaries in Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and Free State pending a country-wide recruitment drive.

The program is structured in three comprehensive phases, each designed to build upon the previous one, ensuring a complete learning experience.

Scriptwriting

Our Journey

2021

11 entry-level filmmakers from Limpopo, North West, Free State and Mpumalanga successfully completed Once Upon a Concept: the DOCUMENTARY CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT edition and received their 42-credits Statement of Results from MICT SETA.

2022

Bolobathaba Media Group implemented a MICT SETA supported 12-month Learnership Programme in Film and TV Production NQF5, with 25 learners on board. Through NFVF/PESP3, 11 entry-level filmmakers received R100,000.00 grants each to make their first films under Once Upon a Concept: the PRODUCTION edition.

2023

Hosted a graduation and award ceremony for the Class of 2022 MICT SETA Learnership Programme. 21 learners were awarded with Film and TV Production NQF5 Qualification. The films were screened to an audience at another NFVF/PESP4 funded project, NEW CROP FILM SHOWCASE.
