Matjie THE MOVIE 2016
Mantjie's life is turned upside down when she's falsely accused of witchcraft and murdering her parents. Forced to flee her community to avoid harm, she turns to her boyfriend Mashao for help. But when she arrives, she's met with a devastating shock: Mashao has already moved on to someone else. Heartbroken and feeling abandoned, Mantjie discovers she's pregnant with Mashao's child. Despite her hopes to reconcile, Mashao rejects her and the pregnancy. Feeling alone and desperate, Mantjie considers ending her life. Just as all hope seems lost, a wise and compassionate old woman appears, offering Mantjie a lifeline. The old woman takes Mantjie in and helps her rebuild her shattered life, giving her a chance to start anew with her newborn baby boy.
